Laying Tiles has been an Art in itself for many hundreds of years and the modern world is no different. The Romans had underfloor heating long before electricity had even been thought of. The types and size of tiles now available is huge and with that brings a much wider range of adhesives and grouts to consider to cope with different sub strates and composition of the tile itself. Laying tiles onto wood for example often lead to cracks in the tiles or the grout being dislodged.
Tiling onto wood can now be done with confidence using the right specification for the Timber floor itself in conjunction with Fibre re in-forced levelling screeds and the correct grade flexible adhesive and grout.
Large format tiles 600mm x600mm and even larger are becoming increasingly popular and more affordable because of advances in manufacture but this has lead to the need for perfectly flat floors for them to be laid on or at least within certain parameters set by the British standards institute for Surface regularity.
Part of our growing customer base is tiling contractors and developers who need our expertise in floor preparation and levelling and often combine that with our ability to install under floor heating mats and insulation boards for efficiency.
Altogether we can offer a complete package if required or just certain elements of the floor make up for all types of projects.
